Jerry Allen Breeden, Sr.

Jerry Allen “Peanut” Breeden, Sr., age 60, of Rt. 2, Box 258, Rock, WV died on Sunday, February 6, 2011 at McDowell Continuous Care and Rehab Center in Gary, WV. Born on December 30, 1950 in Blacksburg, VA, he was a son of the late Elijah Breeden and Ann Hazel Hudgins Breeden. He had lived in Rock for the past 3 years and was of the Baptist Faith. He had worked as a tire changer at Appalachian Tire Company in Bluefield. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Velma Breeden. Survivors: Son: Jerry Breeden, Jr. of Brushfork, WV Daughters: Dreama Taylor of Bluefield, WV Sherri Puckett and husband Roger Puckett, Jr. of Rock, WV Brothers: Buddy Breeden of Matoaka, WV George Breeden and wife Connie of Bluefield, WV Sisters: Maxine Gibson of Atlanta, GA Kathy Harman of Lake Bottom, Princeton, WV Margaret Williams of Winston-Salem, NC Lottie Gibson and husband William of Dade City, VA Nettie Proffitt and husband Troy of Bluewell, WV 7 Grandchildren Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, February 9, 2011 at 11:00 AM at the Cravens-Shires Funeral Home in Bluewell with Rev. Ray White officiating. His final resting place will be at Woodlawn Memorial Park in Bluewell. Pallbearers will be family and friends. Friends may call on Tuesday evening from 6-8 PM at the funeral home.
