William Ward, Jr.

William “B.B.” Ward, Jr., age 66, of 486 Heather Street, Falls Mills, VA, passed away on Tuesday, January 25, 2011 at a Princeton hospital. Born on August 13, 1944 in Bluefield, VA, he was a son of the late William B. Ward, Sr., and Margaret Faye Mitchell Ward. He had been a resident of Falls Mills most of his life and was of the Methodist faith. He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. He was a retired motor winder from R&T Electric. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Mary Jo Shrader and a grandson, Brandon Ward. Survivors include: Wife: Sonna Gilbert Ward of the home Son: Michael L. Ward of IL Daughter: Kimberly Ann Aliff and husband Brian of Bluefield Stepdaughter: Deborah Ann DeHart and husband Steve of Rocky Gap, VA 7 grandchildren: Chad, Ryan, and Hunter Aliff Wesley Ward Jodie Neal, Kevin and Kelly DeHart Sisters: Linda Mitchem and husband Larry of Falls Mills, VA Sharon Miller of Falls Mills, VA Pam Ward of Falls Mills, VA Special friends: John Brose, Ronnie Bailey and family Funeral services will be conducted on Friday, January 28, 2011 at 7:00PM at the Cravens-Shires Funeral Home Chapel in Bluewell with Rev. Terry Goodman and Rev. Rick Duncan officiating. Friends may call prior to the services, from 5:00-7:00 PM at the funeral home. Graveside services will follow on Saturday at 11:00 AM at Grandview Memory Gardens in Bluefield, VA where Chad Aliff, Ryan Aliff, Brian Aliff, Ronnie Bailey, Ronnie Bailey, Jr., John Brose and Wesley Ward will serve as pallbearers. Those wishing to attend are asked to meet at the funeral home on Saturday at 10:00AM.
