Carl "Odell" Mitchem

Carl “Odell” Mitchem, age 68, of Jenkinjones, WV died on Monday, January 24, 2011 at Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown, WV. Born on September 6, 1942, in McDowell County, he was a son of the late Allen G. and Nellie E. Davis Mitchem. He had lived in McDowell County his entire life and was a construction worker. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by brothers, Ruthford Joe “Sonny Boy” Mitchem and Curtis Cecil “Cat Man” Mitchem and Charles Clifford Mitchem; and sister, Jessie May Powers. Burial will follow at the Boyd’s Chapel Cemetery located beside the church. Friends may call on Wednesday evening from 6-8 PM at the church.
