Ovella C. Mariotti

Bluewell, WVa. - Ovella Christeen (Ganoe) Mariotti, of Route 4, Box 505, Bluewell, WV, died Monday, January 17, 2011 following a short illness at Princeton Community Hospital. She was born in Giles County, VA on September 22, 1925 and was a daughter of the late William Ganoe and Pantha Walker Ganoe of Rich Creek, Va. In addition to her parents, Ovella was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 53 years, Loray Martin Mariotti Sr., one sister, Frances Law and two brothers, Edmund and Owen Ganoe. She had been a resident of Bluewell for 65 years and was a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Bluefield. She is survived by a brother, Tom Ganoe of Rich Creek, Va., plus three children, daughter Brenda and husband Rigo Valdovines of Summerville, SC. son Loray Martin Mariotti (Marty) and wife Debbie Helmandollar Mariotti of Bluewell, WVa and William Ermin (Willie) Mariotti and wife Patricia O’Quinn Mariotti of Wytheville, Va. Left to cherish her memories are eight Grandchildren, eleven Great Grandchildren and two Great, Great Grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted on Friday, January 21, 2011 at 11:00 AM at the Cravens-Shires Funeral Home in Bluewell with Deacon Don Hammond officiating. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park in Bluewell where Justin Mariotti, Kelly Mariotti, Carl Mariotti, Jr., James Hoye, Bernard Helmandollar, Jr., Tommy O’Quinn will serve as pallbearers.
