Sharon Yvonne Punturi

Sharon Yvonne Punturi 66, of Box 285 (Freedom Road) Montcalm, WV passed away on Sunday, January 16, 2011 at her residence. Sharon was born on June 13, 1944 in McDowell County, West Virginia to the late Roy Thomas Faulkner and Dorothy Wilson Faulkner. She had been a resident to Montcalm for most of her life and attended the Church of God. Sharon was a loving devoted wife and life partner of Robert Punturi Sr. always at his side at home and in work; she was the heart and soul behind their variety store. She loved and cherished her children, grandchildren, family and friends. Though she is in a wonderful place with the LORD, she will be immensely missed by so many here. In addition to her parents Sharon was preceded in death by three sisters; Melda M. Zyderfield, Paula Sue Patterson and Shelby Farley. Left to cherish her memories is Her husband of 48 years: Robert L. Punturi Sr. of Montcalm, WV One Son: Robert Punturi Jr. and wife Deanna of Montcalm, WV Three Daughters: Tammy Sexton and husband Richard of Winston-Salem, NC Sherri Puttick and husband Tom of Maryland Laura Punturi of Fayetteville, NC Three Brothers: Robert Faulkner and wife Carol of Floyd, VA Richard Faulkner and wife Marlene of Floyd, VA Danny Faulkner and wife Kathy of Bluewell, WV Three Sisters: Patricia Miller and husband Elmer of Floyd, VA Kathy Sabo and husband James of Freeman, WV Shelia Jones and husband John of Bluefield, WV Nine (9) Grandchildren and five (5) Great Grandchildren Funeral service will be held for Sharon Punturi on Wednesday, January 19, 2011 at the Cravens-Shires Funeral Home in Bluewell, WV at 11:00 a.m. with the Rev. Tim Lacy and Rev. David Kirby officiating the service. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park in Bluewell, WV where Brian Punturi, Allan White, David White, Robert Faulkner, Richard Faulkner, Danny Faulkner, Larry Auton and Danny Punturi will serve as pallbearers.
