Joan Quesenberry Mann, age 65, of 120 Restwood Place, Brushfork, passed away suddenly on Thursday, January 6, 2011 at her home. Born on May 7, 1945 in Switchback, she was a daughter of the late Rev. William and Catherine Osborne Quesenberry. She had been a resident of Bluewell for 43 years and attended the Maybeury Church of God. She was a devout Christian of the Holiness faith, was know for giving especially to children’s charities in Bluefield. She had worked as a teacher’s aide for Mercer County Schools for 33 years, just having retired in September from Bluewell Elementary School. She was a caring mother, grandmother and great grandmother and was a loving and faithful wife for 42 years. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Lloyd Quesenberry; a son in law, Benjamin Farmer, Sr.; and a grandson, Jeremiah Baldwin. Survivors include: Husband of 42 years: Billy Mann of the home Daughters: Tina Quesenberry Cline and husband Michael of Newport News, VA Tonna Quesenberry Smith and husband Doug of Princeton Patty Mann Davis and husband Jerry of Brushfork Step-daughter: Cynthia Mann Baldwin and husband Freddie of Bramwell Stepson: Brian Mann of AR Grandchildren: Ashley and Corey Cline of Newport News, VA Noah and Savannah Smith of Princeton Cpl. Andrew Dobbins, III and wife Kellie of Newbern, NC Jordan Dobbins and fiancé Adam Stone of Brushfork Ben and Caleb Farmer of Brushfork Step grandson: Fred Baldwin of Bluefield Great grandson: Hunter Stone of Brushfork Brother: Lester Quesenberry of Sugar Hill, GA Funeral services will be conducted on Thursday, January 13, 2011 at 1:00PM at the Cravens-Shires Funeral Home Chapel in Bluewell with Rev. Kenneth Abram and Rev. Jetta Sizemore officiating. Burial will follow Woodlawn Memorial Park in Bluewell with family and friends serving as pallbearers. Friends may call on Wednesday from 6-8 PM at the funeral home. Online condolences will be accepted at www.cravens-shires.com Cravens-Shires Funeral Home in Bluewell is serving the family.
