Joan Quesenberry Mann, age 65, of 120 Restwood Place, Brushfork, passed away suddenly on Thursday, January 6, 2011 at her home.
Born on May 7, 1945 in Switchback, she was a daughter of the late Rev. William and Catherine Osborne Quesenberry. She had been a resident of Bluewell for 43 years and attended the Maybeury Church of God. She was a devout Christian of the Holiness faith, was know for giving especially to children’s charities in Bluefield. She had worked as a teacher’s aide for Mercer County Schools for 33 years, just having retired in September from Bluewell Elementary School. She was a caring mother, grandmother and great grandmother and was a loving and faithful wife for 42 years.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Lloyd Quesenberry; a son in law, Benjamin Farmer, Sr.; and a grandson, Jeremiah Baldwin.

Funeral services will be conducted on Thursday, January 13, 2011 at 1:00PM at the Cravens-Shires Funeral Home Chapel in Bluewell with Rev. Kenneth Abram and Rev. Jetta Sizemore officiating. Burial will follow Woodlawn Memorial Park in Bluewell with family and friends serving as pallbearers.
Friends may call on Wednesday from 6-8 PM at the funeral home.
