Lucy Mae Roark

Lucy Mae Roark, age 75, of Route 1 Box 258 (Tabor Road), Bluefield ,WV, passed away on Saturday, January 1, 2011 at her residence. Born on December 21, 1935 in Mercer County, she was a daughter of teh late Howard Freeman Shrader and Martha Francis Ayers Hawkins. She had been a resident of Bluewell for her entire live and attended the Princeton Praise and Worship Church. She was a homemaker. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Calvin “Lonzo” Roark, Sr.; and two sisters, Virginia P. Roark and husband William; and Della Shrader. Survivors include: Sons: Calvin L. Roark, Jr. and wife Barbara of Bluefield Robert L. Roark and wife Barbara of NC Daughters: Deloras J. Pizzini of Bluefield Patricia D. Lester and husband David of Bluewell 16 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren Brothers: Wesley L. Hawkins and wife Cheryl of OH Howard “Dink” Shrader of Bluewell Richard L. Shrader and wife Eda Lee of Green Valley Gary W. Hawkins and wife Tammy of OH Randy B. Hawkins and wife Johnnie of TN Sisters: Judith A. Casiano and husband Jose of TN Cleda G. Watson and husband Charles of NC Mary Shrader of FL Funeral services will be conducted on Thursday, January 6, 2011 at 1:00 PM at the Cravens-Shires Funeral Home Chapel in Bluewell with Rev. Cecil Shrader officiating. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park in Bluewell with Michael S. Wimmer, Gary L. Shrader, Roy Turpin, Jose Casiano, Dink Shrader, David Matthew Shrader, and Michael Shrader will serve as pallbearers. Friends may call on Wednesday from 6-8 PM at the funeral home.
