Tom Mix Pickett, Jr.

Tom Mix “Bubby” Pickett, Jr., age 51, of Rt. 4 Box 360, Bluefield, WV died on Friday, December 31, 2010 at Bluefield Regional Medical Center. Born on December 28, 1959 in Bluefield, he was a son of the late Tom Pickett, Sr. and Helen Pressley Pickett. He was a graduate of Northfork High School. He had been a resident of Bluewell for the past 25 years and was of the Baptist Faith. He was a devoted husband and father. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, football and NASCAR as well as spending time with his family. He was a great lover of animals. He had been disabled for the past 10 years. He lived each day as a blessing from GOD. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Kim Pickett New. Survivors: Wife: Beryl “Sissy” Clower Pickett of the home Daughter: Misty Pickett of Columbus, OH Melissa Warburton of the home McKayla Warburton of the home Megan Warburton of the home Son: David Warburton of Bluefield, VA Grandchildren: Ariel, Amber, Autumn, Adria, and Ashlen Great-Grandchildren: Aleyah, Nathan, Khia, and Alison Family pet: Elvis Tiny Pickett Several nieces and nephews Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, January 4, 2011 at 3:00 PM at the Cravens-Shires Funeral Home in Bluewell with Rev. Donnie Farmer officiating. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park in Bluewell. Pallbearers will be his family and friends. Friends may call on Monday evening from 6-8 PM at the funeral home.
