James Eugene “Jimmy” Lewis, age 62, of Rt. 4, Box 349, Bluefield, WV (Jimmy Lewis Lake Road) died on Thursday, February 25, 2010 at Bluefield Regional Medical Center.
Born on March 6, 1947 in Bluefield, he was a son of Lena Broyles Lewis of Bluefield, WV and the late John William Lewis. He had lived in Bluefield for most of his life and had retired from Corte Construction Company where he worked as a block and brick mason. He was a former president and board member of the Pinnacle Rock Foundation. The Jimmy Lewis Lake at Nemours was named and dedicated in his honor. He was responsible for the handicap ramp at the lake. He was very active in the Bible in the Schools fund.

Funeral services will be held on Sunday, February 28, 2010 at 7:00 PM at the Cravens-Shires Funeral Home in Bluewell with Minister Paul Delida officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM at the funeral home prior to his service. His final resting place will be the Broyles Family Cemetery in Nemours. The family asks that contribution be made to the Bible in the Schools fund.
