Ronnie Ray Hodges

Ronnie Ray Hodges, age 58, of Route 2 Box 532, Rock, WV, passed away Saturday, May 1, 2010 at a Charlottesville, VA hospital. Born on October 23, 1951 in Bluefield, he was a son of the Lucy O’Donnell Hodges of Princeton and the late Ray Hodges. He had been a resident of Rock for 32 years and was a mechanic. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by a son, Ronnie Ray Hodges, Jr. and a brother, Douglas Hodges. Survivors in addition to his mother include: Wife: Susan Burkey Hodges of the home 2 daughters: Angie Whittaker and Timmy of Princeton Rhonda Jarvis and Joseph of Princeton Grandchildren: Samantha and Nicholas Jarvis Sisters: Kathy Price and Jim of Rocky Gap, VA Debbie Phelps and Mack of Glenwood Brothers: Robert Hodges and Tammy of Bluefield James Hodges of Princeton Several nieces and nephews Funeral services will be conducted on Wednesday, May 5, 2010 at 1:00 PM at the Cravens-Shires Funeral Home Chapel in Bluewell with Rev. Omar Burns officiating. Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Princeton where Mack Phelps, Jr., Larry Taylor, Kevin O’Donnell, AW Carver, Anthony Taylor, and James Hodges, Jr. will serve as pallbearers. Friends may call on Tuesday from 6-8 PM at the funeral home.
