Dan Harvey Shinault, age 81, of 1220 Hill Avenue, Bluefield, WV, passed away on Wednesday, June 16, 2010 peacefully at home surrounded by his family.
Born on December 26, 1928 in Bluefield, he was a son of the late Frank Shinault, Sr., and and Mintor Byrd Shinault. He had been a lifelong resident of Bluefield and attended the First Church of the Nazarene. He was retired from GTE with 39 years of service.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 3 sisters, Louise, Elsie and Donna; and five brothers, Woodrow, Joe, Clarence, Andy and Frank.

Linda S. Coakley and Ron of Troutville, Virginia
Deborah L. Mitchem and Russell of Brushfork, West Virginia
Robin Furr of North Carolina
Numerous Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren
Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, June 19, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at the Cravens-Shires Funeral Home in Bluewell, West Virginia with the Pastor Jeff Beckett officiating the service. Burial will follow at Grandview Memory Gardens in Bluefield, Virginia where William D. Shinault, Gene Shinault, Russel Mitchem, Jeff Forlines, Ronald C. Coakley and Craig D. Mitchem will serve as pallbearers and Connor Mitchem as Honorary pallbearer.
