Alma Satterwhite

Alma Stamper Satterwhite, 72, of Box 561 Mechanicsville, VA formerly of Bluefield, WV went to sleep on Friday, June 18, 2010 awaiting the resurrection. She was preceded in death by her parents, Earl and Mamie Poole Stamper; and brother, Howard. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother who is survived by her husband of 50 years, Floyd E. Satterwhite Sr.; son, Floyd E. Satterwhite Jr. and his wife, Lisa, and their four children, Mackie, Josh, Floyd III and Katie; two daughters, Lois Satterwhite and Mayme Satterwhite; four sisters, Earlene Stamper of Bluewell, WV, Jean Sprinkle of Bluewell , Eula Shrewsbury of Bluewell, WV and Barbara Moody of Montcalm, WV; and nieces and nephews. Alma was a nurse in the Richmond area for 40 years and a member of the United Church of God. Final services will be held at Cravens-Shires Funeral Home, Bluewell, W.V. on Wednesday, June 23, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. with the Pastor John Foster of the United Church of God Interment will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park, Bluewell, W.V. Friends may call on Wednesday from 9:00-10:00 PM at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to United Church of God, P.O. Box 5621, Mechanicsville, Va. 23111.
