Irma Stacy Cook, 82, of 1 Price Street Bluefield, Virginia passed away on Saturday, February 27, 2010 at her home. Born on June 24, 1927 in McDowell County, West Virginia to the late James and Lydia Roberts Stacy. Mrs. Cook had been a resident of Bluefield, Virginia for the past 39 years and was a member of the Harbor Light Baptist Church. She was a member of the Red Hat Society and RSVP Tazewell County. She was lovingly known as Mamaw by The Bluefield Virginia Rescue Squad Members. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Lewis Cook, Great-Granddaughter Aya Chatila Smith, four brothers Dover Stacy, Hillard Stacy, Wayne Stacy and Estil Stacy; three sisters Martha Stacy Haynes, Mary Stacy Duty and Ollie Stacy Harless. Survivors Include: Two Sons: James Darryl Cook and Tamara of Tomball, Texas Timothy Paul Cook and Veronica of Chesterfield, Virginia Three Daughters: Patricia Cook Smith and Darrell of Spring Creek, Nevada Alesia Gail Cook of Bluefield, Virginia Eppie Cook Steele Sullivan of Bluefield, Virginia Ten Grandchildren: Christopher Smith and wife Diana, Paul Smith and wife Wendy, Jesse Cook and wife Libby, Michael Steele and wife Angela, Amy Steele and husband Brandon, Brandon Cook, Bethany Cook, Paul Cook and wife Tara, Emily Cook and Cecilia Cook Thirteen Great Grandchildren: Erica Smith, Lewis Smith, Paul Smith Jr., Nathan Smith, JonPaul Smith, Cole Smith, Nicholas Smith, Tyler Smith, Layla Smith, Faith Cook, Stacy Steele Hendrick, Ben Hendrick and Ashley Jayden Steele. She was loved by many nieces and nephews Funeral service will be held on Thursday, March 04, 2010 at 1:00 p.m. at the Cravens-Shires Funeral Home in Bluewell, West Virginia with Ministers Robert Lane, Darrell Smith and James Mooney officiating the service. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park in Bluewell, West Virginia where Denver Riffe, Tommy Carroll, Greg Hamm, Mike Morgan, Bobby Dishmen and John Brown will be serving as pallbearers. Friends and family may call at the Cravens-Shires Funeral Home in Bluewell, West Virginia on Wednesday, March 03, 2010 from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. with a testimonial service being held at 8:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers the Cook family asks that donations be made to the American Cancer Society, American Heart Association and/or The Red Dress Association. Following the Funeral service on Thursday the Cook family will be receiving family and friends at the Bluefield Virginia Rescue Squad.
