BLUEFIELD, VA--- Virginia Bertha Rose, age 74, of 2218 Abbs Valley Road, Bluefield, VA passed away Friday, July 16, 2010 at Heritage Hall Nursing Home, Tazewell, VA. Born February 21, 1936 at Jenkinjones, WV she was the daughter of the late Ray and Ollie Helmandollar Myers. Mrs. Rose was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and she was of the Baptist Faith. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Glen R. Rose; one son, Glen R. Rose, Jr.; one daughter, Shirley E. Rose; one sister, Ruby Tackett. Survivors include, Three sons, Robert Rose of Abbs Valley, VA Dannie Rose and wife Carolyn of Pinnacle, NC James Rose and wife April of King, NC One daughter, Patty Morrison of King, NC Two brothers, Arnold Myers of Tazewell, VA Eugene Myers of Statesville, NC One sister, Carol Green of Abbs Valley, VA Twelve Grandchildren and two Great-grandchildren Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, July 20, 2010 at Cravens-Shires Funeral Home Chapel in Bluewell, WV with Pastor Harold Ward officiating. Burial will follow in Sluss Family Cemetery, Mudfork, WV. Friends may call Monday, July 19, 2010 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Friends of the Family will serve as Pallbearers.
