Rose Ella Johnston

Rose Ella Swick Blankenship Johnston, age 60, of PO Box 124, Lerona, WV, passed away on Monday, June 28, 2010 at her residence. Born on October 10, 1949 in Marytown, she was a daughter of the late Jack and Florence Atwell Swick. She had been a resident of Mercer County for 20 years and was a former resident of Welch for 40 years. She was a member of the South View Pentecostal Holiness Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband of 42 years, Bob Blankenship; 2 brothers and 1 sister. Survivors include: Her second husband: George Johnston of the home Son: Bobby Blankenship and wife Teresa of Elkins Daughter: Terri Smith and husband Wayne of Tazewell, VA 10 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren Brother: Steven Swick of Lerona 2 Sisters: Patty Tashe and husband Steve of Tuscaloosa, AL Kathy Sharrone of Hadlock, NC Funeral services will be conducted on Wednesday, June 30, 2010 at 1:00 PM at the Cravens-Shires Funeral Home in Bluewell with Pastor Mac McBride officiating. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park in Bluewell with Tom Morgan, Tommy Stevens, Robert Mullins, Ross Burks, Steve Tashe, and Harry White serving as pallbearers.
