Elsie Lorrine Lusk

Elsie Lorrine Lusk, age 78, of Route 2 Box 71, Rock, WV, passed away on Friday, April 9, 2010 at a Winston-Salem, NC hospital. Born on September 22, 1931 in McComas, she was a daughter of the late Exel M. and Bessie O. Parks Lusk. She had been a lifelong resident of Rock and was a member of the MapleView Church of Christ. She was a member of the VFW Post 3112 in Brushfork and the Ladies Auxillary to the Veterans of Foreign Wars. She was a loving and devoted mother and homemaker. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Stuart Edward 'Everett ' Lusk , and ex-husband, Wilbur Chester Jenkins . Survivors include: Sons: David Chester Jenkins of Rock Joseph (Joe) Exel Jenkins of Mundellien, IL Daughter: Kathy Renee Harris of San Bernadino, CA 5 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren Funeral services will be conducted on Wednesday, April 14, 2010 at 1:00 PM at the Cravens-Shires Funeral Home Chapel in Bluewell with Minister Tony Reed officiating. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park in Bluewell with friends from Mapleview Church of Christ serving as pallbearers. In lieu of flowers, donations in her name may be made to the Mapleview Church of Christ building fund. Friends may call on Tuesday from 6-8 PM at the funeral home.
