Mihaly J. Salata

Mihaly J. Salata, age 69, of Littlesburg Road, Bluefield, WV, passed away on Sunday, August 29, 2010 at a Bluefield hospital. Born on January 23, 1941 in Hungary, he was a son of the late Mihaly J. and Margrd Kauka Salata. He had been a resident of Bluefield for 11 months and was a retired contractor. He was a member of the Irish American Society in Glastonbury, CT. Survivors include: Wife: June Call Salata of the home 1 son: Michael Salata of Jenks, OK 1 daughter: Mary Malitsky of Santa Rosa, CA 4 stepchildren: Dianne Doucette of Biddeford, ME Denis Moy of Laconia, NH Shane Doucette of Saco, ME Shawn Doucette of East Hartford, CT 5 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild 2 brothers: Joszses Salata of Hungary Istvan Salata of Hungary 2 sisters: Juliana Barbas of Hungary Zsuzana Sziklasi of Hungary Funeral services will be conducted on Thursday, September 2, 2010 at 1:00 PM at the Cravens-Shires Funeral Home in Bluewell with Chaplain Gary Durham of Amedisys Hospice officiating. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park in Bluewell with family and friends serving as pallbearers. Friends may call on Wednesday from 6-8 PM at the funeral home.
