William L. Dillon

William L. Dillon, age 67, of Rt. 4, Box 343, Bluefield, WV died on Thursday, April 8, 2010 at Bluefield Regional Hospital. Born on May 4, 1942 in Goodwill, WV he was the son of the late Walter and Elizabeth Frazier Dillon. He had lived at Rt. 4, Bluefield for the past 50 years. He had retired as an auto body technician. He loved to ride his motorcycle and go fishing with his friends. He loved his favorite puppy, “Lit Bit”. He attended the Calvary Tabernacle in Glenwood. Survivors include: Wife: Linda Compton Dillon of the home Children: Donna Stafford and husband Gary of Pittsboro, NC Tammy Byers and friend Micky Fowler of Brushfork, WV Rocky Dillon and wife Teresa of Bluewell, WV Brothers: Franklin Dillon and wife Phyllis of Waldo, FL Paul Dillon and wife Lisa of Falls Mills, VA Sisters: Shirley Parcell and husband Michael of Lakeland Park, Bluefield, WV Margaret Kirby and husband David of Bluewell, WV Grandchildren: Jacob and Janan Dillon of Bluewell, WV Charles Byers of Brushfork, WV Amanda Hall of Champaign, IL Nieces and nephews: Marion, Ollie, April, Sabrina, and Brandon Special Friends: Leonard Thomason, Greg Thomas, and Charles Byers Cousin: Larry Gene Auton Funeral services will be held on Monday, April 12, 2010 at 11:00 AM at the Cravens-Shires Funeral Home in Bluewell with Rev. David Kirby and Rev. George Johnston officiating. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park in Bluewell. Pallbearers will be Larry “Punkin” Auton, Greg Thomas, Ben Auton, Joe Woods, Blake Auton, and Boyd Knuckles. Friends may call on Sunday evening from 6-8 PM at the funeral home.
