Conley B. Goins

DUHRING, WV--- Conley Bernard Goins, age 55, of RT 2 Box 434 Duhring, WV passed away Tuesday, August 17, 2010 at Bluefield Regional Medical Center. Born February 13, 1955 at Cliff Yards, WV he was the son of the late Glen Floyd and Pearl Virginia Dillon Goins. Mr. Goins was a lifelong resident of Duhring and was employed at Westwood Care Center in Bluefield, VA. where he loved to work with the residents of Westwood. Mr. Goins also enjoyed playing music. He played with his brothers Melvin and Ray in the “Melvin Goins Band” touring together on the road for several years. He later played music with his brothers in a gospel quartet called 2nd Edition. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two brothers, Ray and Roger Goins. Survivors include, his wife Renee Skeens Goins of Durhing, WV One daughter, Amanda Goins Lawrence and husband Andrew of Bluefield, WV Six brothers, Melvin Goins and wife Willia of Ashland, KY Walter Goins of Bluefield, WV Donnie Goins and wife Betty of Bramwell, WV James Goins and wife Arlene of Bluefield, WV Kelly Goins and wife Vicky of Freeman, WV Harold Goins and wife Elsie of Bluefield,WV One sister, Judy Bragg and husband Harry of Cool Ridge, WV Two sister-in-laws, Helen Goins of Pikeville, KY Bonnie Goins of Bramwell, WV Several Nieces and Nephews Funeral services will be held 8:00 p.m. Friday, August 20, 2010 at Maple View Church of Christ with Ministers Harold Goins and Bart Wynegar officiating. Friends may call Friday, August 20, 2010 from 6:00 p.m. until time of services at 8:00 p.m. Graveside services will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, August 21, 2010 at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens, Bluewell, WV with Minister Tony Reed officiating. Those wishing to attend the graveside service are asked to meet at Woodlawn Memorial Park in Bluewell, WV by 11:00 a.m. Saturday. Freddy Kirby, Mack McClarty, Roger Bailey, David Skeens, Bryan Goins, and Joey Deen will serve as Pallbearers. Leroy Mabe and Ronald Saddler will serve as Honorary Pallbearers.
