Rose Reed

Rose “Irene” Reed, age 80, of the McDowell Continuous Care in Gary and formerly of Anawalt, passed away on Tuesday, August 17, 2010 at a Bluefield hospital. Born on August 17, 2010 in Sparta, NC, she was a daughter of the late Joe C. and Lula Lovelace. She had been a resident of Anawalt for most of her life and was of the Methodist faith. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Gordon Reed; a brother and a few sisters. Survivors include: Daughter: Gladys “Penny” Stepp and husband Kenneth of Gary 1 grandson: Michael Stepp & wife Laura of MD 1 granddaughter: Elena Stepp of Maryland Brothers: Kenneth and J. C. Lovelace Sister: Barbara Funeral service will be held on Saturday, August 21, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at the Cravens-Shires Funeral Home in Bluewell, WV with Rev. D. Homer Stewart officiating.
