Samantha Renae Price

Samantha Renae Price, 23 of Bluefield, a wonderful and loving mother, daughter, wife, grand-daughter, and daughter-in-law who could put a smile on anyone's face was called to heaven on September 7, 2010, just days shy of her 24th birthday on September 17th. Samantha was a graduate of National College with an associate’s degree in computers and was proudly a stay at home mother. God decided he needed an angel so Samantha left this earth to soon but will never be forgotten. She leaves behind to cherish her memory her loving husband Eric Scott, her daughter Katelyn (fatcat) and her (baby boy) Seth. She also leaves behind her parents, Darlene and Tim Price of Bluefield and Richard and Vickie Price of North Carolina; grandparents Barbara and Arba Lambert of Bluefield and the late William and Brenda Price formerly of Gilliam Bottom; her best friends and sisters Mary Ann and Melanie Lambert and a brother Derick Price. She also leaves behind step-sisters Jamie Price and Amanda Taylor and step-brothers Cody Price, Jarrod Price and Justin Price; and brother in law Scott Nester. Samantha leave 5 nephews Ryan, Hunter, Conner, Alex and Anthony and 6 nieces Mia, Madison, Hannah, Hailey, MaKayla (Ne Ne), Darien and Alexis; Her godchildren Chelsea and MaKayla and Samantha's best friends Carrie Price and Melissa Keith and a host of other friends. Samantha leaves behind aunts Sylvia, Liz, Linda, Mary, Melissa Mitchem, Paula Church and Melissa McKinney and Uncles Elijah, Everett, and Bill along with other loving family members who have shown their love and support. Funeral services will be conducted on Monday, September 13, 2010 1t 1:00 PM at the Cravens-Shires Funeral Home Chapel in Bluewell with Rev. Omar Burns and Rev. David Kirby officiating. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park in Bluewell. Scott Nester, Jarrod Price, Justin Price, Derick Price, Elijah Lambert and Micah Kiser will serve as pallbearers. Friends call on Sunday from 6-8 PM at the funeral home. Samantha would like if everybody could wear T-shirts and jeans because this was her Favorite way to dress. Anybody that would like to speak at the funeral they are more than welcome to say somthing that made you smile when you spent time with her.
