Corey "C.J." Justin Scott

Corey Justin “C.J.” Scott, age 29, of 173 Acorn Court, Bluefield, WV went to be with the LORD on Tuesday, September 7, 2010 at VCU Cancer Center in Richmond, Virginia. Born on February 21, 1981 in Bluefield, he was the son of Dorothy Pennington of Bluefield and the late Jesse Scott Jr. He had lived in Bluefield his entire life and was a mechanic for Cole Chevrolet for 10 years. He enjoyed 4-wheeling and spending time with his friends. He had fought Leukemia valiantly for 2 ½ years and never complained even though the experience became tough. He was a loving son, husband, father and brother. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Arthur and Vida Horton and his paternal grandparents, Jesse and Margaret Scott. Survivors include: Wife: Michelle Honaker Scott of the home 4 year old son: Tanner 2 year old daughter: Brooke Mother and step-father: Dorothy and Pastor Mark Pennington of Bluefield Brother: Christopher Shane Scott of Bluefield 3 nieces and nephews as well as many special friends Funeral services will be held on Friday, September 10, 2010 at 1:00 PM at the Cravens-Shires Funeral Home in Bluewell with Rev. George Johnston officiating. Burial will follow at Grandview Memory Gardens in Bluefield, Virginia. His friends will be serving as his pallbearers. Friends may call on Thursday evening from 6-8 PM at the funeral home.
