Ruby Gertrude Tyree

Ruby Gertrude Roark Tyree, age 86, of Princeton, WV, formerly of Welch and Anawalt, passed away on Wednesday, September 15, 2010 at a Welch hospital. Born on November 1, 1923 in McDowell County, she was a daughter of the late Charlie and Leona Roark. She had been a lifelong resident of McDowell County and was of the Baptist faith. She was a homemaker and had also formerly worked in the nursing and healthcare field. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Charles William Goodman; 3 brothers, Billy, June and Vance Roark; and 3 sisters, Reba Miller, Ethel Finley, and Mamie Roark. Survivors include: Daughter: Rebecca Hassan of Princeton Son: Richard Goodman and wife Madeline of Anawalt 3 granddaughters and 3 grandsons 2 great granddaughters and 1 great grandson Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday, September 18, 2010 at 3:00 PM at the Cravens-Shires Funeral Home Chapel in Bluewell with pastor Ron Felts officiating. Friends may call on Saturday prior to services, from 2:00-3:00 at the funeral home.
