Eulalia Yost Smith, age 96, of 1600 Bland Street, Bluefield, WV, formerly of Bramwell, died on Monday May 3, 2010 at The Maples.
Born on January 25, 1914 in Duhring, she was a daughter of the late Harry E. and Della Mullin Yost. She had lived in Iaeger for 29 years before moving to Bramwell where she had lived 35 years. She had retired from the Mercer County Board of Education. She was a member of the Bramwell United Methodist Church where she had taught Sunday School for many years. She was the President of the United Methodist Women in both Iaeger and Bramwell. While living in Iaeger she was very active in the West Virginia Conference of United Methodist Women. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, James E. Smith; a son, Harry F. Smith; 3 sisters, Lava Staton, Ena Yost, & Tula Marrs; 2 brothers, Vernum and Arl Yost and a great-granddaughter, Courtney Bolling.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, May 8, 2010 at 10:00 AM at the Cravens-Shires Funeral Home in Bluewell with Rev. Rob Buchanan officiating. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park in Bluewell. Serving as pallbearers will be James Shrader, Charles Bolling, Jr., Matthew Smith, Colton Lively, Randy Shutt, and Mike Hurley.
Friends may call on Friday evening from 6-8 PM at the funeral home. The family asks that memorial contributions be made to the Bramwell United Methodist Church, 3285 New Hope Road, Princeton, West Virginia.
