Zelda Bailey

Zelda Joyce Bailey, Princeton, WV On August 9, 2010, God called Zelda home to be with her dear husband, Everett. She fought a brave and lengthy battle with diabetes, but never complained. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother, but most of all, she was our best friend. Words cannot express how much we love and cherish you. Zelda was preceded in death by the love of her life, her husband Everett. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, John and Vella Hayes Nunley; brothers, Clarence, Alden, Frank, Clyde, Bill and John; sisters, America, Katherine, Bertha, Marlene, Beatrice, and Rita. She is survived by her sons, , David Bailey and wife Linda; Randy Bailey and wife Eva; grandchildren, Kyle Bailey, Lee Bailey and wife Gabriel (Gabby), Katie Bailey, Andrew Bailey, Brandon Bailey, Carrie Havens and husband Josh; and Jason Hagy; great grandchildren, carter, Dakota, Taylor, Isaiah, Olivia, Dillon and Jacob; brother, Warren Nunley and wife Jesse; brother in law, Hurley Shrader; and a sister in law, Jackie Nunley. She is also survived by special friends and caregivers, Kenneth and Evelyn Dunn for their devotion and love for our parents; and Sammy and Jeanette Benard of Bland who were also wonderful friends to Mother and Daddy. If you look up the word “love” in the dictionary, a picture of our Mother is what you will find. We love you always, Randy, David and family. Funeral services will be conducted on Friday, August 13, 2010 at 1:00 PM at the Cravens-Shires Funeral Home Chapel in Bluewell with Rev. Russ Hatfield and Rev. Kenneth Dunn officiating. Burial will follow at Grandview Memory Gardens in Bluefield, VA. Friends may call on Friday prior to the services, from 12:00 – 1:00 PM at the funeral home.
