Bernice O. Johnson, age 100, of Princeton, WV, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, February 10, 2010 at the Mary Health Personal Care Home in Princeton.
Born on April 22, 1909 in Athens, she was a daughter of the late Augustus and Ollie Wiley Martin. She was a homemaker.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert O. Johnson; a daughter, Opal Lyerly; a grandson, Martin Brandenburg, Jr.; five sisters, Easter, Pearl, Crete, Garcie, and Liza; and six brothers, Sam, Lon, Gus, Earl, Albert and Tony.

Funeral services will be conducted on Wednesday, February 17, 2010 at 12:00 Noon at the Cravens-Shires Funeral Home in Bluewell with Rev. James Milam and Rev. Gary Durham officiating. Burial will follow at Grandview Memory Gardens in Bluefield, VA with Paul Powell, Orville Carper, George Sink and Fred Heath will serve as pallbearers.
Friends may call on Wednesday from 11:00- 12:00 at the funeral home.
