Eva R. Marrs was born May 26, 1914 in Gretna, Virginia to the late Bud and Mary Ramsey. She was the fourth of five children born into the family. Eva joined Tabernacle Baptist Church in her early youth and was a very active member.
Mrs. Marrs departed this life on Tuesday, March 02, 2010 at 7:20 a.m. at South Pointe Hospital in Warrensville Heights, Ohio and entered into eternal rest with her heavenly father.
Mrs. Marrs was preceded in death by two husbands, Henry Cecil and Rev. Samuel A. Marrs. Her survivors are one daughter, Claudine Cecil Calhoun (Alred); two granddaughters, Teresa Conley and Valerie Love of Cleveland, Ohio; one great-grandson, Craig Conley (Marcella) of Aurora, Ohio; two great-granddaughters, Kellie Love of Cleveland, Ohio and Tonya Fergueson (David) of Columbus, Ohio; one great-great-grandson, Craig Jr.; two great-great-granddaughters, Chayanne and Celeste of Aurora, Ohio; one foster son, David Hurt of Detroit, Michigan and daughters, Millie, Sheril, Teane and Alice Gay; Two sons, Darnell and David.
Eva also leaves to cherish her memory two nieces, Donna Cody and Leslie Smith; one nephew, Anthony Ramsey of Clinton, Tennessee and three great nieces and four great nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted on Tuesday, March 09, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at Restlawn Memorial Gardens on Rt. 20 in Bluefield, West Virginia with the Rev. James J. Palmer, III officiating the service.
