Marie Webb

Princeton- Marie Webb of Princeton WV went to be with our Lord on Monday, November 2, 2009. Born in Welch, she was the daughter of the late Domenic and Concetta Castrodale. Mrs. Webb attended McDowell County schools until the fourth grade. She then attended Catholic boarding schools in Virginia, Ohio, and Illinois. Upon graduating high school, she attended the DePaul University School on Nursing where she obtained her BS degree in nursing. She worked as a registered nurse at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Chicago, Illinois, as well as Charleston General Hospital, Bluefield Sanitarium, and Bluefield Multicare where she retired in 1986. She was a devout Christian. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband, Dr. Eugene Webb; sisters Virginia Santy and Leda Castrodale, and brothers Frank Castrodale and Dr. Dante Castrodale, and one granddaughter, Sarah Elizabeth Webb. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. She is survived by two sons, Mark E. Webb and wife Sharon of Oakboro, NC and Chris and Chrissy Webb of Princeton WV. She is also survived by two granddaughters, Amandolin Webb of Oakboro, NC and Lauren Webb of Princeton, WV. In keeping with her wishes there will be no visitation. Graveside services will be held on Friday, November 6, 2009 at 1PM at Woodlawn Cemetery with Pastor Fred Farley officiating. Family and friends will be meeting at Cravens-Shires Funeral Home at 12:45 on Friday. The family requests memorial contributions, in lieu of flowers, be made to the Princeton Church of God Building Fund, 250 Oakvale Road, Princeton WV 24740.
