Marvin Eugene Martin

Marvin Eugene Martin, age 58, of 79 Gosling Circle East, Hendersonville, NC and formerly of Princeton, passed away on Wednesday, January 27, 2010 at his residence. Born on May 3, 1951 in Bluefield, he was a son of the late Archie Granville and Isabel Maloyed Martin. He was employed by Pardee Hospital in Hendersonville as the director of engineering and was also a member of the North Carolina Healthcare Engineers Association. He was a US Marines veteran and served during the Vietnam era from 1971-1977. He was a member of the Mercer Masonic Lodge #85. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Lloyd E. Martin and Dennis H. Martin.; and a sister, Shirley M. Chiswell, VA Jacob Lambert of Rocky Gap, VA 1 granddaughter: Jordan Lambert of Rocky Gap, VA 1 brother: Jackson R. Martin of Church Hill, TN 2 sisters: Mary Kay Compton of Scott Depot, WV Linda Sue Stafford of Bluefield Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday, January 30, 2010 at 11:00 AM at the Cravens-Shires Funeral Home Chapel in Bluewell with Rev. Danny Scott officiating. Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Princeton where graveside services will be conducted by the Mercer Masonic Lodge #85 and will serve as pallbearers.
