PRINCETON, WV--- Hubert L. “Bunk” Smith, age 74, of 161 Elkview Street, Princeton, WV, passed away Tuesday, March 2, 2010 at Princeton Community Hospital. Born April 3, 1935 in Boissevain, VA, he was the son of the late William Lacy and Lola Mae Price Smith. Mr. Smith was a retired welder, a Korean War Veteran having served with the 501 Air Borne Screaming Eagles, and was a member of the Nemours Baptist Church.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his first wife, Thelma Smith.

His wife; Shelia Vernon Smith of Princeton, WV
One son; Bernard Eugene Bandy III of Germany
One daughter; Vanessa Hicks and husband Shane of Rocky Gap, VA.
Four grandchildren; Devon Bandy, Michelle Bandy, Patrick Hicks, and Christopher Hicks.

Graveside services will be held 2:00 p.m. Friday, March 5, 2010 at Roselawn Memorial Gardens, Princeton, WV with Rev. George Brown officiating. The WV Honor Guard will then conduct Military Graveside Rites.
Friends may call Friday, March 5, 2010 from 12:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. at Cravens-Shires Funeral Home in Bluewell, WV.
Shane Hicks, Eddie Rhudy, Kenny Thompson, Joey Rowe, Harold Taylor, Gilbert Wimmer, Huey Southerland will serve as Pallbearers.
