Maria Vigh Szakacs, age 81, of 1600 Bland Street, Bluefield, WV, formerly of Davidson Mobile Home Village, ended her journey and flew away with the angels on Sunday, December 20, 2009 at the Maples Nursing Home in Bluefield.
Born on January 16, 1928 in Gunope, Hungary, she was a daughter of the late Anna Vigh. She had been a resident of Bluefield for 53 years and was a member of the Midway Christian Church. She was a homemaker and friend to everyone who knew her.
In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest Szakacs; and several brothers and sisters in Hungary and Europe.

Great grandchildren: Taylor Olivo, Andy & Jillian Spencer, Ean and Jack Hagerman
Cryptside services will be conducted on Wednesday, December 23, 2009 at 11:00 AM at the Woodlawn Memorial Park Mausoleum in Bluewell with Minister Jeff Stacy and Minister Dan Webb officiating. Entombment will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park in Bluewell with friends and family serving as pallbearers.
Friends may call on Tuesday from 6:00 – 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
