BLUEFIELD, WV--- Mike Hornick, age 80, of 2816 Grandview Ave. Bluefield, WV passed away Sunday, March 21, 2010 at Bluefield Regional Medical Center.
Born November 2, 1929 at Elkhorn, WV he was the son of the late Steve and Annie Semonco Hornick. Mr. Hornick was a retired coal miner from the US Steel Mines and a US Army Korean War Veteran. He had lived in Bluefield for the past 15 years and attended the First Pentecostal Holiness Church in Bluefield, WV. He was a member of the United Mine Workers of America.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his first wife Hazel; three brothers, Nick, Paul, and Frank Hornick; three sisters, Olga Hornick, Frances Ann Blizzard, and Mary Alice Hornick.

and John A. Blizzard of McGaheysville, VA
Three step-chidren, Rhonda Nichols and husband Jonathan,Mary Goodson and wife Brenda, and Dara Goodson.
Sisters: Helen Burnop of Bedford, VA
Margaret Slaymaker and husband Fred of Dunbar, WV
Eight Step-grandchildren and one Step-great-grandchild
Funeral service will be held 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 24, 2010 at Cravens-Shires Funeral Home Chapel in Bluewell, WV with Rev. Larry Roberts officiating. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Memorial Park Cemetery, Bluewell, WV.
Friends may call at the funeral home Wednesday, March 24, 2010 from 12:00 p.m. until time of services at 1:00 p.m.
Friends and family will serve as Pallbearers.
