Bonnie J. Keen

Bonnie J. Keen, age 81, of Route 1 Box 260-B (Tabor Road), Bluefield, WV, formerly of Welch, passed away on Friday, March 19, 2010 at a Bluefield hospital. Born on August 12, 1928 in Maybeury, she was a daughter of the late Ed and Myrtle Dillon Matheson. She had been a resident of Welch for most of her life and was the former office manger and longtime employee of the West Virginia Water Company in Welch. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Welch. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Cecil J. Keen. Survivors include: Son: Richard Keen and wife Deborah of Bluefield 3 grandchildren: Brian W. Keen, Heather L. Keen, and Lyndsay A. Tilley 6 great grandchildren: Brandon S. Keen, Christian B. Meadows, Madison F. Meadows, Cassidy A. Tilley, Jaylen A. Tilley, and Jacob A. Keen 1 brother: Ed Matheson of Owings Mills, MD 2 sisters: Lois Ehatt of Sykesville, MD Linda Watkins of Owings Mills, MD 2 Special Sister-in-laws: Polly Keen Princeton, WV Eloise Rowe Princeton, WV Funeral services will be conducted on Tuesday, March 23, 2010 at 1:00 PM at the Cravens-Shires Funeral Home in Bluewell with Pastor Darrell Long officiating. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park in Bluewell with family and friends serving as pallbearers. Friends may call on Monday from 6-8 PM at the funeral home.
