Franklin D. Bateman

Franklin D. Bateman, age 74, of 6168 Huff Creek Highway, Davin, WV, and formerly of Bramwell, departed this life and went into the arms of Jesus on Friday, January 1, 2010 at a Logan hospital following a short illness. Born on July 27, 1938 in Kimball, he was a son of the late Roy Lee and Dora Bateman. He was of the Baptist faith. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Kenneth Bateman. Those left to cherish his memory are: Sister: Lena LaFlam of Okahumpka, FL Two brothers: Bobby Bateman of Shady Springs Jimmie Bateman of Davin A host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends Graveside services will be conducted on Tuesday, January 5, 2010 at 1:00 PM at the Woodlawn Memorial Park Mausoleum in Bluewell with Rev. Johnny Hatfield officiating. Entombment will follow with friends and family serving as pallbearers. Friends may call on Tuesday from 12:00 – 1:00 PM at Cravens-Shires Funeral Home in Bluewell.
