Betty Ann Nash, age 82, of 197 Hurricane Ridge Road, Bluefield, WV, and formerly of Elkhorn, passed away on Thursday, December 31, 2009 at a Princeton hospital. Born on September 12, 1927 in Eckman, she was a daughter of the late Thomas and Rebecca Parks Hairfield. She had been a resident of Bluefield for 11 years and was a graduate of Northfork High School. She was a member of the Crozier Baptist Church and was a member of the Beta Phi Sorority. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Nash, Sr.; brothers, William Thomas Hairfield; and sisters, Janet Wright, Emma Archibald, Ola Jarrett, Eva Burton, Audrey Crutteden, and Mary Louise Watts. She was the last surviving member of her family. Survivors include: 2 sons: Jeff Nash and wife Debbie of Chilhowie, VA Frankie Nash, Jr. and wife Diana of Bluefield 4 grandchildren: JD Nash and wife Becky of Chilhowie, VA Michael Nash and wife Hope of Chilhowie, VA Joe Nash and wife Amy of Nashville, TN Margie Shrader and husband Daniel of Clarksville, TN 5 great grandchildren: James, Eden, Noah, River, and Isaiah Special friends: Joan Semonco, Tish Beasley and Leta Byrd Special Niece: Patty Miller Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday, January 2, 2010 at 2:00 PM at the Cravens-Shires Funeral Home Chapel in Bluewell with Rev. Jim Blevins and Rev. Joe Lambert officiating. Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Princeton where sons and grandchildren will serve as pallbearers. Richard Goosens will serve as honorary pallbearer. Friends may call on Saturday from 12:00 – 2:00 PM at the funeral home.
