ANAWALT — Nettie Mae Winebarger, age 96, of P.O. Box 183, Anawalt, W.Va., passed away on Sunday, April 12, 2009 at the home of her daughter, Shirley Woolridge in Skygusty.
Born on September 24, 1912 in Carroll County, Va., she was a daughter of the late William and Aurlene Horton Bowman. She had been a resident of Leckie for 60 years and was of the Pentecostal Holiness faith. She was a homemaker.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Thomas Harman; her second husband, Clarence Winebarger; sons, Clarence Winebarger and William Harman; a daughter, Marjorie Johnson; and two infant children.
Survivors include four sons, George Harman and wife Aurelia of Anawalt, Franklin Harman and wife Linda of Anawalt, Matthew Harman and wife Joyce of Pineville, Clarence Winebarger, Jr. of Virginia; daughters, Louise Hopkins of Gary, Shirley Woolridge and husband Douglas of Skygusty, and Mary DeWeese and husband Guy of Bramwell; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; and a sister, Mary Bly of Ohio.
Funeral services will be conducted on Wednesday, April 15, 2009 at 1:00 p.m. at the Cravens-Shires Funeral Home Chapel in Bluewell with Pastor Mary Lambert officiating. Burial will follow at Grandview Memory Gardens in Bluefield, Va. where friends will serve as pallbearers.
Friends may call on Wednesday from 12:00 noon - 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
