Lois Harlene Evans

ANAWALT, WV---Lois Harlene Holleman Evans, age 73, of P.O. Box 94 Anawalt, WV passed away Thursday, February 4, 2010 at Bluefield Regional Medical Center following a short illness. Born November 7, 1936 at Pocahontas, VA she was the daughter of the late Beverly Jackson and Sallie Riffey Holleman. Lois lived the majority of her life in McDowell County and was of the Protestant Faith. She worked 15 years for the Cato Corporation in both Welch and Bluefield. For those who knew and loved her, Lois will be best remembered for her laughter and pleasant personality. She was a joy to be with, and the Lord will surely welcome her with open arms. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by two brothers, Paul and James Holleman; and her former husband, Johnny Evans. Survivors include One son, Johnny Evans and wife Linda of Anawalt, WV One daughter, Patricia Martin of Tazewell, VA One grandson, Jason Van Buren Evans and wife Tracie of Morgantown, WV One brother, Douglas Holleman of Thorpe, WV One sister, Betty Dillon of Phoenix, AZ Faithful and loving canine companion, Daisy Funeral services will be held 3:00 p.m. Monday, February 8, 2010 at Cravens-Shires Funeral Home Chapel in Bluewell, WV with Rev. Jimmy Sanson officiating. Burial will follow in Grandview Memory Gardens, Bluefield, VA. Friends may call Monday, February 8, 2010 from 2:00 p.m. until time of services at 3:00 p.m. Family and friends will serve as Pallbearers.
