Florence (Flo) Mildred O’Donnell Vaughan, age 87, of Route 1 Box 286, Bluefield, WV, went to be with the Lord and Savior surrounded by her family and friends after a long time of suffering on Wednesday, January 20, 2010 at her residence. She will be sadly missed and loved.
Born on May 16, 1922 in Montcalm, she was a daughter of the late John Isaac and Lucy R. Saddler O’Donnell. She had been a lifelong resident of Bluefield and was a former 13 year employee of Lynn’s Drive In and was a devoted member of the Deliverance Temple Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death her husband, Robert C. Vaughan; six brothers and six sisters. The family circle is now complete. The last saint has made it home.
Survivors include:
1 daughter: Sherry Brown and husband Michael Brown of Bluefield
2 sons: Danny Vaughan and wife Shirley of Bluefield
Robert Vaughan and wife Virginia of Marion, NC
10 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren; and 6 great-great grandchildren
Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday, January 23, 2010 at 1:00 PM at the Cravens-Shires Funeral Home Chapel in Bluewell with Rev. David Kirby and Rev. David Lusk officiating. Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Princeton with grandsons serving as pallbearers.
Friends may call on Saturday prior to services, from 12:00 – 1:00 PM at the funeral home.
