Josephine Shutt

Josephine Strock Shutt, age 78, of 453 Earls Branch Road, Pounding Mill, VA, and formerly of Third Street, Bluefield, WV, passed away on Tuesday, February 2, 2010 at her residence. Born on October 28, 1931 in Cranberry, she was a daughter of the late John and Mary George Strock. She had been a resident of Pounding Mill for 2 years and was a homemaker. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Eugene “Muggie” Shutt; a son, Gary Cozart; and a grandchild. Survivors include: 1 son: Samuel Cozart of Beckley 1 daughter: Patricia “Patty” Stevenson and husband Danny of Pounding Mill, VA Grandchildren: Crystal and Danny Stevenson, Jr. of Montcalm Billy Tiller of Montcalm James Buchanan of Bluefield James Gary Cozart of Orlando, FL Jessica Gilbert of FL 1 brother: Charles Strock of AL 1 sister: Lillie Henry of Princeton Funeral services will be conducted on Thursday, February 4, 2010 at 6:00 PM at the Cravens-Shires Funeral Home Chapel in Bluewell with Rev. Terry Grose officiating. Burial will follow at a later date at Woodlawn Memorial Park in Bluewell. Friends may call on Thursday from 5:00 – 7:00 PM at the funeral home.
