Joe Daniel Ball, Sr., age 57, of PO Box 60, Montcalm, passed away on Tuesday, February 2, 2010 at a Bluefield hospital. Born on March 6, 1952 in Giatto, he was a son of the late Roy and Virginia Grose Ball. He had been a resident of Thornhill for 40 years. Survivors include: Wife: Ruth Epperson Ball of the home 3 sons: Joe D. Ball, Jr. of the home Jimmy D. Ball of Grafton Jonathan Ball of the home 4 brothers: Paul Grose of Giatto Rocky Ball of Matoaka James Ball of Rock Billy Ball of Princeton 1 sister: Nancy Akers of NC Funeral services will be conducted on Friday, February 5, 2010 at 1:00 PM at the Cravens-Shires Funeral Home in Bluewell with Rev. Patrick Wheeler officiating. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park in Bluewell with Michael Ramey, Ricky Jennings, John Overton, Howard Compton, Thomas O’Neal, and Scott White serving as pallbearers.
