Ralph O. Strouth

Ralph Oden Strouth, age 85, of PO Box 16, Nemours, passed away on Tuesday, October 27, 2009 at his residence. Born on May 15, 1924 in VA, he was a son of the late James B. and Margaret Perkins Strouth. He had been a resident of Nemours for most of his life and was a member of the Ashlar Masonic Lodge #91 in Detroit, MI and was a veteran of the US Army. He was a retired welder. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Alice M. Wimmer Strouth. Survivors include: Two Sons: Ralph Randall Strouth and Roxanne of Michigan Walter James Strouth and Linda of Michigan Three Daughters: Marlene Domigan of Michigan Sandra Sue Gerber of Michigan Kathy Marie Whitney and Gary of Michigan 10 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren 1 brother: Eual Strouth of Michigan 1 sister: Hazel Shaffer of Bluewell Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday, October 31, 2009 at 11:00 AM at the Cravens-Shires Funeral Home Chapel in Bluewell with Rev. James Milam officiating. Burial will follow at Grandview Memory Gardens in Bluefield, VA, where Masonic graveside rites will be conducted. Friends may call on Friday from 6-8 PM at the funeral home.
