Lester Dale Burnette

Lester Dale Burnette, age 49, of HC52, Burke Mountain, Northfork, West Virginia died on Sunday October 10, 2010 in a Charleston hospital. Born on April 1, 1961 in Welch, he was a son of Ezra Burnette of Burke Mountain and the late Edna Knight Burnette. He had lived on Burke Mountain most of his life and was a 1980 graduate of Northfork High School. He had served in the US Navy for 7 years and was currently employed as a security guard. In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by his sisters, Edna Burnette and Carol Albrecht and brothers, James “Eddie” Burnette and Darrel Ray “Dobie” Burnette. Survivors in addition to his father include: Sons: Lester F. Burnette of Bluefield, West Virginia Timothy J. Burnette of Bluefield, West Virginia Daughter: Jennifer Burnette Lambert and husband Shaun of Bluefield, West Virginia Brothers: Leonard Burnette and wife Diana of Bramwell, West Virginia Donald Burnette of Keystone, West Virginia Mark Burnette and wife Madonna of Falls Mills, Virginia Jeffery Burnette and wife Gina of Cana, Virginia Sister: Sharon Pack and husband Glenn of Keystone, West Virginia Nancy Norris and husband Joseph of Greenville, South Carolina 4 Grandchildren Funeral services will be held on Thursday, October 14, 2010 at 1:00 PM at the Cravens-Shires Funeral Home in Bluewell with Rev. David Kirby officiating. Burial will follow at Oakwood Cemetery in Princeton. Military graveside honors will be performed by the West Virginia Honor Guard. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. Friends may call on Wednesday evening from 6-8 PM at the funeral home.
