Audra Blanche Combs

Audra Blanche Combs, age 92, of 1005 ½ College Avenue, Bluefield, passed away on Sunday, December 19, 2010 at The Maples in Bluefield. Born on November 9, 1918 in Meadowview, VA, she was a daughter of the late Stuart and Garnett lee Terry McCormick. She was a graduate of Gary High School and the WV Business College. She was a member of the Trinity United Methodist Church in Bluefield. She was a retired bookkeeper and account and had formerly worked at the Flat Top Insurance Agency, MetLife and Pocahontas Fuel Corp. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Edith Dinger; and brothers, Charles, Carl, James and Garner McCormick. Survivors include: Niece: Flora Lee Asbury and husband Hubert of Abbs Valley, VA Sister: Mildred Baker of Abingdon, VA Funeral services will be conducted on Monday, December 20, 2010 at 3:00 PM at the Cravens-Shires Funeral Home Chapel in Bluewell. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park in Bluewell. Friends may call on Monday from 2:30-3:00 at the funeral home.
