Hazel Virginia Warburton

HAZEL VIRGINIA MEADE WARBURTON (84) of Route 3 (Lorton Lick Road), Bluewell, WV departed this world on July 11th to her Heavenly home. Born September 25, 1925 in Welch, West Virginia. She attended Bluewell United Methodist Church and loved to sing in the Choir. Past employments were with Feuchenberger Bakery, Kresges and Woolworth Department Stores. Her main vocation and most successful goal in life was as a loving wife, mother and grandmother. Her smile lit up our world. Preceded in Death by Father, John Hopkins Meade and Mother, Mary Amanda Bowling Meade. Three Brothers: Eugene Meade, Homer Meade and Earl Meade, one sister, Mae Brewster and one son-in-law, David R. Woodard. Survived by and Married 62 ½ years to James David Warburton of the home; five children: Patricia Woodard-Synan (Russell) of Pocahontas, Virginia; Charles Allen Warburton (June) of Springville, Va.; Barbara Jean Webb (Fred) of Bluewell, West Virginia, Karen Sue Alexander (Donald) of Fort Covington, New York, and James Michael Warburton (Patty) of Rock, W.V. She is also survived by two sisters: (Twin) Helen Johnson of Bluewell and Thelma Buchanan Jones of Bluewell. Twelve grandchildren; nineteen great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to the Alzheimer’s Association. Funeral services will be conducted on Friday, July 16, 2010 at 1:00 PM at the Cravens-Shires Funeral Home Chapel in Bluewell with Rev. Stephen Rector officiating. Burial will follow at Grandview Memory Gardens in Bluefield, VA where Benjamin Alexander, Dane Alexander, Steve Webb, Thomas Webb, David Woodard and Chris Woodard will serve as pallbearers.
