Nellie W. Whitt, 79, of 5994 Airport Road Bluefield, West Virginia passed away on Friday, October 08, 2010 at Bluefield Regional Medical Center following a long illness. Nellie was born on October 23, 1930 in Wolfe, West Virginia to the late Steve and Martha Green Wright. Nellie relocated back to Bluefield in 1993 after her retirement from Flowers Bakery in London, KY. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by Rachel Poszich, Lena Lewis, Bob Wright, Bill Wright, Jo Wright, John Wright, Kale Wright and Mary Ann Proffitt. Barry Wright officiating the service. Graveside services will follow at Grandview Memory Gardens in Bluefield, VA. Friends and family may call at the Cravens-Shires Funeral Home in Bluewell, WV on Sunday, October 10, 2010 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Serving as pallbearers will be Robert Proffitt, Robert Proffitt Jr., Bobby Proffitt, Herb Wright, Darryl Poe and Tyler Poe.
