Blanche E. Mitchem

PRINCETON — Blanche Esther Tabor Mitchem, age 83, of Princeton Health Care, Princeton, passed away on Wednesday, October 20, 2010 at a Princeton hospital. Born on October 14, 1927 in Bluefield, she was a daughter of Oscar Brown and Julia Bell Belcher Tabor. She had been a lifelong resident of Bluefield, was a member of Mowles Chapel, and was a homemaker. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Elwood Mitchem; a granddaughter, Angela Brooke Neal; five sisters; and six brothers. Survivors include two daughters, Melayne Lynne Mitchem and Kevin Duckworth of Bluefield, Judy Ann Neal and Gerald of Montcalm; two grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. Graveside services were conducted on Saturday, October 23, 2010 at 11:00 at the Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Princeton. Interment followed.
