Edith Ella Jane Dequino

Edith Ella Jane Dequino, age 87, of Rt. 1, Box 284-C, Bluefield, WV died on Saturday, December 3, 2010 at Mercer Continuous Care in Bluefield. Born on June 4, 1923 in Thornhill, WV, she was the daughter of the late Dan and Rilda Severt Brown. She had lived in the Bluefield area her entire life and was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She attended the Deliverance Temple in Brushfork and was a caregiver for many years. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Tony Dequino; a daughter, Willow Dean Carter; and several brothers and sisters. Survivors: Son: Darrell M. Carter of Bluefield Daughters: Betty Jane Dequino of Bluefield Annette Marie Kirby and husband Tom of Bluefield Step-daughter: Gladys Bowling of Walkertown, NC Sister: Aileen Perkins of Montcalm 7 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren Funeral services will be held on Friday, December 10, 2010 at 1:00 PM at the Cravens-Shires Funeral Home in Bluewell with Rev. David Lusk, Rev. David Kirby, and Rev. Darrell Christian officiating. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park in Bluewell. Pallbearers will be Russell Tabor, Allen Kirby, Donald Perkins, Jimmy Perkins, Dennie Kirby, Jim Bourne, Lonnie Pennington, and Herman Linkous. Friends may call on Thursday evening from 6-8 PM at the funeral home.
