Rev. David Leon Robinson

MONTCALM,WV --- Rev. David Leon Robinson, age 78, of Methodist Hill Road Box 735 Montcalm, WV passed away Friday, May 14, 2010 at National Health Care Hospital, Bethesda, MD. Born March 28, 1932 in Huntington, WV he was the son of the late Etna and Mary Carpenter Robinsonson. Rev. Robinson has been a Pastor for the past 55 years. He began his ministry in Huntington, WV. He then took his ministry to Washington State, Iowa, Kansas, and Missouri. When he moved to Florida he built the Marco Island Church and Cemetery, where he served his longest term as Pastor of the Church for eighteen years. Rev. Robinson then returned in 1991 to pastor the church at Whitesville, WV for nine years. He was currently the Pastor of the Montcalm Church of God in Montcalm, WV. Survivors include, His wife Wanda Justice Robinson of Montcalm, WV Three sons, David L. Robinson Jr. and Sandy of Dandridge, TN Dennis Robinson of Key Largo, FL Darin Robinson and wife Lona of FT Myers, FL One daughter, Teresa Robinson of Bartow, FL One sister, Joyce Callicoat of Kansas City, Kansas Eight Grandchildren and Eight Great- Grandchildren. Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Thursday, May 20, 2010 at the Montcalm Church of God in Montcalm, WV with Rev. Darin Robinson and other Ministers officiating. Burial will follow in Marco Island Cemetery in Marco Island, FL Saturday May 22, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. Friends may call Wednesday May 19, 2010 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Montcalm Church of God in Montcalm, WV Family will serve as Pallbearers.
