BLUEWELL — Joseph John Padovano, 87, of Route 3, Box 763, (Lorton Lick Road), Bluewell, died Saturday, May 8, 2010 at Chester County Hospital in West Chester, Pa.
He was born in Boonton, N.J. on November 22, 1922. After retirement in 1989, he and his wife, Louise Mary (Carosi) Padovano, moved to their residence on Lorton Lick Road where he lived for 21 years. He was preceded in death by his wife, Louise; and his brother, Daniel Padovano.
Survivors: Daughters, Patricia Nolte of West Chester, Pa., Gail Haynie of Albuquerque, N.C.; and son, Daniel Padovano of Norristown, Pa.; sister, Joan Ferriouolo; brothers, Albert and Robert Padovano; his seven grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted at 10 a.m., Thursday, at St. Elizabeth Catholic Church in Pocahontas, Va. with Father Gaudencio Pugat officiating. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Memorial Park Cemetery in Bluewell, W.Va. Friends may call at the Cravens-Shires Funeral Home Chapel in Bluewell from 6 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, where a Christian wake service will be held at 8 p.m.
