Edna Viola Miller

Edna “Polly” Viola Miller, age 89, of Angier, NC and formerly of Freeman, passed away on Sunday, September 26, 2010 at the home of her daughter in NC. Born on August 22, 1921 in Mercer County, she was a daughter of the late Otha and Lillie Hale Johnston. She was a homemaker and attended the Bramwell United Methodist Church. She was a homemaker and was formerly employed by Sharpe, Inc. in Bluewell. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Frank M. Miller; brothers, Carl and Robert Johnston; Sisters, Eula Mae Keatley and Lucille Kenizer. Survivors include: Daughter: Wanda Miller Staples of Angier, NC 2 grandchildren: Randall R. Whitteker, Jr. of Los Angeles, CA Michelle Whitteker Simpson of Angier, NC 1 great granddaughter: Codi Leigh Simpson of Angier, NC 2 sisters: Shirley Cox of Tazewell, VA Margaret Miller of Myrtle Beach, SC Funeral services will be conducted on Thursday, September 30, 2010 at 11:00 AM at the Cravens-Shires Funeral Home Chapel in Bluewell with Rev. Ray Conrad officiating. Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Princeton where Doug Shell, Stanley Cox, Daryl Cox, Joey Baker, Jeremy Rouse and Darrell Rouse officiating.
